In 2008 the Nigerian Institute for Policy Development and Political Activities named Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack Public Administrator of the Year for Bayelsa State.
At the time she was Solicitor-General of Bayelsa State and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Justice, a post she held from July 2002 to January 2009.
